So I just arrived back from a holiday to Thailand and you may have seen in my other blog that I use the one minute saborino night mask whilst I'm away because you just have no time to put face masks on while you're on holiday. When you stay at a hotel, you're going out all the time and you want to experience all the different attractions and culture, so by the time you get back, you also just don't have the time.
Although I was using my other masks and I have reviewed other Keana masks, my face was getting drier and drier throughout the holiday. And then to top it all off, I got on the aeroplane and all the moisture got sucked out of my face. However, I went shopping whilst I was abroad and this is where my keana rice mask review comes into play.

The packaging says it's for dry pores. According to the back, when your skin is dehydrated, it loses elasticity which causes pores to stay open and become visible. This mask uses a rice serum made from 100% Japanese rice to tighten and hydrate.
This is all about dry skin and visible pores. If you've got dehydrated skin that's lost its bounce, this is meant to help with that.
If you look on the back in my pictures for my Keana rice mask review, there aren't actually that many ingredients, which I think is good. I always have a look at the ingredients on my face masks in case there's anything a little bit different.
Most of them are rice-based, and the packaging breaks down four key rice ingredients in their rice serum:
The function is to moisturise and hydrate the skin. This is exactly what I needed after my holiday in the heat.
This one restores elasticity. It contains Vitamin E to give skin tone and luster.
This conditions the skin and supports the skin's barrier and moisture retention.
This refines texture and smooths skin for a clear, luminous look.
There's also water, glycerin, and some other standard skincare ingredients. One thing to note is there's ethanol in there, which I'll talk about in a bit.
The packaging has a bit of ethanol inside and you'll see that in my picture. There weren't any reactions for me. However, if you do have sensitive skin, make sure to do a patch test before you try any mask on.
I had zero issues, no stinging, no redness, nothing. But everyone's skin is different, especially if you're sensitive to alcohol in skincare.
It felt really good when I put the mask on. The mask is absolutely drenched in serum, like, properly soaked. There was so much liquid within this pack. I've used other face masks before, and sometimes it actually isn't that much liquid. I really enjoyed how much liquid there was within this 10 pack.
Afterwards, it was a little bit sticky, but not annoyingly sticky, and that's probably to do with the rice ingredients.
It was a good 10 out of 10 for me.
First impressions, there's no smell to it. It's completely odourless, which I feel is a good thing. This is probably to do with the minimal ingredients.
In terms of the application, it spreaded quite easily, it wasn't messy, it didn't drip. It was very easy to apply.
Now, does it actually fit my face? So it was quite a big mask. However, the eye holes were a little bit small. So I had to slightly tear those. But apart from that, it fit across my whole face. It was a little bit towards my ears, a little bit of skin showing. But there was a lot of liquid, so I managed to easily spread the liquid around my face.
And you can see in my video, if you look closely, how much liquid there is within the packaging.
In terms of my Keana rice mask review of opening the packaging, it was quite easy to open and what I appreciated is that there was actually the ability to lock the packaging after opening so you could keep the moisture within the 10 pack.
This was a pack of ten and all 10 masks were in the pack, not separated. So my pro tip here is to squeeze the pack, so the juices go inside all the masks.
Yes, really easily. You just pull one mask out and there's so much serum in there that they come apart without any issues.
After using my mask, and the back of the packaging actually says to put it on for five minutes, I always put my masks on for 15 to 20 minutes. I find it very relaxing to just sit down and unwind after a long day and also to let all those juices just flow in.
I feel relaxed, I do feel hydrated, I feel so good after that flight. My skin felt moisturised and comfortable, not tight or dry anymore.
The price point is actually quite good for the keana rice mask and because you get 10 of them in one packet, it's very, very cost effective.
You get 10 masks with 165ml of essence total. That's plenty of uses and great value.
In terms of performance, like I said, I feel relaxed, I do feel hydrated, I feel so good after that flight. I would definitely repurchase it. It's so value for money.
I also like that it's made in Japan. I buy all kinds of masks, you know, the most popular ones are Korean and Japanese. But this one was made in Japan by Ishizawa Lab.
In terms of my overall rating for my keana rice mask review, I'm going to give it a nine out of 10 and the reason why is it could be a little bit more hydrating. Like, it's very hydrating, but you know me, I'm a tough critic. It could be a little bit more. I have had ones that are more hydrating.
Also, in terms of the fit, if only the eyeholes were a little bit bigger or the mask fitted all the way to my ears, that is what would give it a 10 out of 10. But I'm going to give it a 9 out of 10.
Squeeze the pack before opening so the serum distributes evenly among all the masks. There's so much liquid that you can also use the excess on your neck and hands.

The packaging says 5 minutes, but I always leave mine on for 15 to 20 minutes. It's relaxing and gives the ingredients more time to sink in. There's so much serum that it stays moist for the full time. This really helps to put it on longer for my keana rice mask review.
